Swire Properties Announces Completion of Taikoo Place Redevelopment Project

Taikoo Place transformed into a Global Business District in Hong Kong

Swire Properties is delighted to announce the official completion of the latest phase in the redevelopment of Taikoo Place. This ambitious project, which commenced in 2014, has transformed Taikoo Place into an industry-leading Global Business District, with modern workspaces and an array of amenities focused on health and wellness. The Taikoo Place Redevelopment Project has included two, triple Grade-A office towers of approximately 1 million square feet GFA each, expansive landscaped gardens, parks and squares as well as new elevated air-conditioned walkways.

A celebration was held tonight at Taikoo Place to mark the completion of the Taikoo Place Redevelopment Project. The event was officiated by Tim Blackburn, Chief Executive of Swire Properties, and Don Taylor, Director, Office at Swire Properties, with over 1,000 VIP guests in attendance.

Today also marks the official opening of the 1880 Hong Kong members club, together with its brand-new 1880 SOCIAL concept that is fully accessible to our tenant community. 1880 spans across four floors in Two Taikoo Place offering people an exceptional social experience with a tailored events calendar, diverse culinary choices, well-designed conference and event spaces as well as an upscale gym with spa facilities. New to Taikoo Place's world-class amenity provision, 1880 heralds a new era in workspace entertainment.

Highlights of the Taikoo Place Redevelopment Project:

Swire Properties curates year-round tenant engagement programmes to enhance health and wellness that create a strong sense of community in Taikoo Place. Recent events included the Tatler Champagne Festival and the Corporate Wellness Challenge - 8-Hour Charity Spin. The annual Tong Chong Street Market will return later this month and, our flagship youth empowerment and community celebration -The White Christmas Street Fair, will return in December. In addition, the Company continues to support our tenants' sustainability goals through collaborative programmes like the Green Performance Pledge (GPP) and the Green Kitchen Initiative.

All ten office towers in Taikoo Place are connected via climate-controlled elevated walkways, enhancing walkability and connectivity throughout the district. Each tower has its own dedicated drop off point for vehicular traffic.

Over 40 F&B outlets are available at Taikoo Place, including new al fresco dining options at Taikoo Piazza.
