(2013年7月16日，香港) Swire Properties Inc今天宣佈，購入現為北方信托銀行(Northern Trust Bank) 佛羅里達州總部的700 Brickell Avenue土地。Swire Properties Inc為南佛羅里達州具領先地位的國際發展商之一，是太古地產的全資附屬公司，負責太古地產於美國的地產業務。
Swire Properties Inc以超過6,400萬美元買入這塊1.55英畝土地，計劃納入其耗資約10億美元的Brickell CityCentre綜合發展項目的藍圖。Brickell CityCentre位於佛羅里達州邁阿密市的Brickell金融區，首期工程正在進行中，將興建一座優質購物中心、兩座住宅大廈、休閒式商務酒店邁阿密東隅、一所健康中心和甲級辦公樓。
Swire Properties Inc 總裁Stephen Owens說：「700 Brickell Avenue與Brickell家族及北方信託公司的淵源深厚，擁有豐富的公民及企業歷史色彩，我們十分期待延續這塊土地的特色；加上它位處邁阿密其中一條主要街道，對Brickell CityCentre的發展起關鍵作用。」
物業賣方為北方信託公司和Marjorie O. Brickel Revocable Trust的聯合信託人，後者由Steelbridge Real Estate Services 及CBRE, Inc.共同代表。鑑於Brickell的地理優勢及其發展潛力巨大，是次賣地引起本地及國際關注。
北方信託公司佛羅里達州主席John Fumagalli說：「雖然公司在這個位置優越的地段成功發展多年，但我們對位於Brickell World Plaza的新佛羅里達總部充滿期盼。北方信託公司將成為該物業的主要租戶，並於地鋪設立分行。我們很高興看到太古地產將700 Brickell Avenue納入其地標發展項目，保留這地段在邁阿密的重要性。」
