(Hong Kong, October 25, 2001) - Leading PRC software services and solutions provider, EC-Founder (Holdings) Limited, ("EC-Founder") (stock code: 618), provided location-based services (LBS) on CDMA digital mapping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Conference in Shanghai.

The opportunity to present our self-developed LBS to the participants at this conference of world prominence just adds to our pride."
The LBS was jointly developed by EC-Founder, Lucent Technologies Communication & Information (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Asiacorp Co., Ltd. Participants of the APEC conference can access digital map to perform location services enquiry through the CDMA 1X test network. Using a personal digital assistance (PDA) with CDMA communication function, participants can look up the locations of all hotels, scenic spots and tourist attractions in Shanghai. The PDA will also display the best routes to these destinations, the relevant transportation timetables, and details of the destinations such as contact numbers.
The application of LBS at this conference demonstrated the technological excellence of EC-Founder. Apart from applications in various industries such as water supplies, energy, transportation, land planning, city construction, business intelligence and base-line resources management, LBS can also be applied for domestic uses. Users can download the LBS client software into their PDAs, mobile phones and notebook computers to use the digital mapping enquiry function.
