2014年2月14日，中國電信股份有限公司(香港交易所編號︰728；紐約證券交易所編號︰CHA) (「中國電信」)欣然宣佈今天正式推出4G業務。
中國電信發佈首批4G套餐資費標準，包括月付套餐、半年卡套餐和年卡套餐。中國電信首批將在國內近百個城市提供4G服務。用戶選購4G數據終端和套餐後，即可使用4G極速百兆業務。首批推出的4G數據終端(涵蓋國內外知名品牌約十多款)分為上網卡、“上網寶”(MIFI)、無線網關(CPE)，均支持TD-LTE制式。
