In recent years, global vehicle sales have climbed steadily, reaching approximately 95.6 million units in 2025. Within this total, new energy vehicles emerged as the primary growth driver, with sales exceeding 23.37 million units and the market penetration rising steadily (source: Frost & Sullivan). In 2025, the automobile market officially entered the era of intelligent competition, marked by deep integration of intelligent perception and smart cockpits, driving the transformation of vehicle camera solutions from “basic quantity coverage” towards “advanced performance enhancement”. In the intelligent perception segment, the certification for China’s first batch of level 3 autonomous driving models was officially implemented and issued. This milestone event further marks the substantive development of intelligent connected vehicles transitioning from the assisted-driving phase into the stage of high-level autonomous driving. Against this backdrop of significantly increasing perception demands for high-level autonomy, vehicle cameras are rapidly evolving towards higher resolution, wider dynamic range, and improved low-light performance to support more stable algorithm input. Moreover, high- level autonomous driving systems place higher demands for long- range detection, 3D contour reconstruction, and complex operating conditions. Consequently, the industry has progressively adopted multi-sensor fusion solutions combining “vision and light detection and ranging (“ LiDAR ”)” to improve safety redundancy in nighttime, backlit, and dense mixed-traffic scenarios. With the implementation of L3 and above autonomous driving, LiDAR will become an indispensable perception unit for high-precision environmental sensing and is expected to evolve from an emerging feature into a core standard component of intelligent driving systems. In the smart cockpit segment, the popularization of driver monitoring systems (“ DMS ”) and occupant monitoring systems (“ OMS ”) has further expanded the application scope of in-cabin vision technology, extending from basic monitoring to multifunctional capabilities such as identity recognition, attention and status detection, as well as health and safety alerts.
