DIRECTORS’ REPORT 董事會報告 ANNUAL REPORT 2019 年度報告 53 The Directors have pleasure in presenting their report and the audited consolidated financial statements of the Group for the year ended 31st December, 2019. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND BUSINESS REVIEW The Company is an investment holding company. The principal activities of its principal subsidiaries are set out in note 35 to the consolidated financial statements. A business review of the Group, with description of the principal risks and uncertainties and the likely future development, are set out in chairman’s statement, management discussion and analysis on pages 4 to 10, this directors’ report on pages 53 to 65, and in notes 4, 5, 28, 29, 31, 32 and 33 to the consolidated financial statements. RESULTS AND APPROPRIATIONS The results of the Group for the year ended 31st December, 2019 are set out in the consolidated statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income on page 73. The Directors did not recommend the payment of a final dividend for the year. FINANCIAL SUMMARY A summary of the results and of the assets and liabilities of the Group for the years from 2015 to 2019 is set out on page 160. PROPERTY, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT Details of the movements in the property, plant and equipment of the Group during the year are set out in note 13 to the consolidated financial statements.
