Money in Hong Kong: An Exhibition presented by the HKMA

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) this summer will present an exhibition entitled "Money in Hong Kong". This will be the main public education initiative by the HKMA for this year.

The Exhibition will be held at three different locations, running from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily during the following periods:

"The aim of our Money in Hong Kong Exhibition is to explain the work of the HKMA to the general public in a lively and interesting way and to place current HKMA policies in their historical perspective," said Mr Joseph Yam, Chief Executive of the HKMA.

The Exhibition will feature:

The exhibition will be accompanied by informal talks on identifying counterfeit banknotes and the story behind Hong Kong's notes and coins, a radio quiz (Roland's choice, RTHK 2, 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, 24 July to 14 August) and the launch of an improved and redesigned HKMA website.
