HKEx will sign MOU with ASX on 11 December

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on exchange of information with the Australia Stock Exchange (ASX) in Sydney on Monday, 11 December 2000.

Kwong Ki-chi, chief executive of HKEx, and Richard Humphrey, chief executive and managing director of ASX, will sign on behalf of the two exchanges.

Details of the signing ceremony follow:

The signing ceremony will be followed by a news conference.

Joe Hockey, Australia's Minister for Financial Services and Regulation, Stephen Ip, Hong Kong's Secretary for Financial Services, and Maurice Newman, ASX's Chairman, will also attend the signing ceremony.
