Founded and headquartered in Hong Kong since 1977, IDT now operates in major economies in the region and around the world. The application of state-of-the-art liquid crystal display (LCD) technology to IDT products is a key success factor of the Group. The product development strategy is to apply LCD and microprocessor technology to an increasing variety of consumer products.
The Group designs, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of LCD-based consumer electronic products including, inter alia, environmental monitoring devices, timing devices, health care and sports products and other products.
Products of the Group are marketed worldwide to a broad customer base through offices located in the United States; in Brazil; in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom); and in Asia Pacific (Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and the PRC). The Company also has a direct distribution subsidiary, Huger Electronics GmbH, in Germany. Marketing is supported by product development and a corporate head-office in Hong Kong with manufacturing facilities in the PRC.
The Company was admitted to the official list of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited on January 24, 1997. Its major shareholder, IDT International Limited, is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
