HONGKONG LAND HOLDINGS LIMITED
The following is the text of an announcement made by Hongkong Land's associate, Trafalgar House, in London today:
"The Board of Trafalgar House p.l.c. announces that it has been informed by Kvaerner a.s. of its interest in a possible offer for the company. Trafalgar House will consider the possible merits of such an offer if and when the details are available. Trafalgar House has been informed by Kvaerner that any offer would be made only with the recommendation of the Board of Trafalgar House. A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate."
Mr Percy Weatherall, Managing Director of Hongkong Land, said:
"If any proposal in respect of Trafalgar House is put forward by Kvaerner, the Board of Hongkong Land will be guided by the advice of the Board of Trafalgar House on its merits."
