12th April 2000 - Hongkong Land Holdings Limited today announced the appointment of Kuah Boon Wee as Chief Financial Officer of the Group and as Finance Director of Hongkong Land Limited with effect from 1st May 2000.
Mr Kuah is currently Finance Director of Astre Automotive, the Australian subsidiary of Cycle & Carriage Limited. He was Group Finance Director of Colliers Jardine prior to his move to Australia in 1998. Earlier in his career, he worked in Standard Chartered's Corporate Finance Division in Hong Kong after qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG in London.
Chief Executive of Hongkong Land, Nick Sallnow-Smith, said: "I very much look forward to welcoming Boon Wee to Hongkong Land. His international and property experience will be most valuable as we develop Hongkong Land's business in the period ahead."
Hongkong Land owns and manages some 5 million sq. ft of prime office and retail space in the heart of Hong Kong's Central business district. The Group also manages a portfolio of property and infrastructure investments in Asia and is currently active in the Hong Kong SAR, Mainland China, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.
