Jackson Tai
Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,
DBS Group Holdings & DBS Bank

Tai is Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both DBS Group Holdings and DBS Bank, and Chairman of the DBS Group Holdings Management Committee. Tai joined DBS as Chief Financial Officer in July 1999 and was President and Chief Operating Officer of DBS Bank from January 2001 to June 2002.

Prior to his appointment at DBS Bank, Tai completed 25 years of service with J.P. Morgan & Co. as Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division.

During that time, he held several senior management positions including head of investment banking and senior regional officer for The Western United States, based in San Francisco; head of Investment Banking and senior regional officer for J.P. Morgan's businesses in Asia Pacific region, based in Tokyo; global head of J.P. Morgan's real estate investment banking business, based in New York; and executive director of J.P. Morgan's Securities Inc.'s Tokyo Office.

Tai serves on the boards of DBS Group Holdings, DBS Bank, Singapore Telecommunications, CapitaLand and Jones Lang LaSalle. In April 1996, Tai was appointed to a 17-member White House Commission on United States-Pacific Trade and Investment Policy.

Tai is a director of the Asian Civilisations Museum in Singapore, and a trustee of the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. He is a board member of the Committee of 100, the San Francisco Symphony, and trustee for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Tai joined J.P. Morgan in 1974 immediately after receiving his MBA from Harvard University. He received a Bachelor of Science in 1972 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Frank Wong Kwong Shing

Chairman, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited,

Wong is Vice Chairman of DBS Bank, Chairman of DBS Bank (Hong Kong) and a director on the DBS Bank and DBS Group Holdings Ltd boards, and a member of the DBS Group Holdings Management Committee.

Wong has oversight responsibilities for the Bank's wholesale banking businesses which include Treasury & Markets, Investment and Corporate Banking, Private Banking, DBS Vickers Securities, and DBS Asset Management.

As Chairman of DBS Hong Kong, Wong oversees all DBS Greater China operations, which include DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, and DBS Vickers Hong Kong.

Before his appointment with DBS Bank in March 1999, Wong was Designated Chief Executive for National Westminster Bank's Hong Kong Branch from January 1997 to February 1999, and its Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific between 1994-99.

Wong held various senior positions in JP Morgan - Hong Kong and London between 1977-92. He also held various senior positions in Citibank, North Asia between 1967-77 and 1992-95.

When Wong was based in Hong Kong, he served in various positions with Hong Kong's government bodies. He was Chairman of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange from 1995-98, Chairman of the Arbitration Panel from 1995-99, Member of the Financial Services Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Trade Development Council from 1996-99, Member of the Foreign Exchange and Money Market Practices Committee of the Hong Kong Association of Banks from 1992-99, and Member of the Finance Committee of Hong Kong Housing Authority from 1998-99.

Wong was appointed Justice of Peace from June 1997 to February 1999 and was honoured an OBE on the Queen's birthday list in 1997.

Wong is also a board of director of China Mobile (Hong Kong) Limited.

Eric Ang Teik Lim
Managing Director and Joint Head,
Investment Banking Group
DBS Bank,

Ang is a career DBS banker with 25 years of experience in investment banking. He is currently joint head of Investment Banking and is responsible for Capital Markets, covering equity markets, debt markets, private equity, syndicated finance and merger & acquisition advisory. Since his time at the helm of the Investment Banking Division, DBS has become the market leader in Singapore capital market activities.

Ang serves on the DBS Group Holdings Ltd (DBSH) Management Committee. He is also a member of DBS Bank's Policy Committee and chairman of the Bank's committee on Wholesale Products & Services.

Within the DBSH Group, Ang serves on the boards of DBS Asia Capital Ltd, DBS Vickers Securities Holdings Pte Ltd, Hwang-DBS Securities Berhad and Investment & Capital Corporation of the Philippines, the latter two being associated companies.

Ang is also a member of the Appeal Advisory Panel under the Singapore Securities & Futures Act (Cap 289), The Financial Advisers Act (Cap 110) and The Insurance Act (Cap 142).

Ang holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Singapore.

Chong Kie Cheong
Managing Director & Joint Head
Investment Banking Group, DBS Bank

Chong is currently the Managing Director and Joint Head of Investment Banking Group. He also serves on the DBS Group Holdings Management Committee. He joined DBS Bank in 1971 and has held a number of senior positions and directorships.

He was appointed Executive Vice President for International & Correspondent Banking in 1994, Managing Director and Head for Institutional Banking in 1999 and latterly in 1999 Managing Director and Head of the Bank's Regional Integration Centre, headquartered in Bangkok. When he returned to Singapore in 2001 he was appointed Finance Director.

Chong serves on the Boards of various DBS Bank overseas subsidiaries, including PT Bank DBS Indonesia and DBS Thai Danu Bank, where he is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee. He is also a Board Member of The Asian Bankers Association and DBS' representative on the Philippines Singapore Business Council.

Chong holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Economics) (Honours) from University of Singapore.

Steve Ingram
Managing Director & Group Chief Information Officer
DBS Bank

Ingram is currently Manager Director & Group Chief Information Officer for DBS Bank, responsible for the provision of IT services to DBS and its subsidiaries. This includes developing and managing IT strategies and architectures and their alignment to the business, identifying innovation and improvement opportunities and delivering technology enabled business change.

In addition to his current role, he has also recently taken over as Head of the Bank's Processing & Servicing Unit.

During his period with the Bank he has been responsible for outsourcing IT applications management and infrastructure operations across the region to IBM; defining, developing and implementing a regional, services based architecture; reengineering and restructuring IT as a services organization and establishing and managing a regional portfolio and program management discipline and process. Ingram chairs the Bank's Project Council and is a member of its Management Committee and Policy Committee. He is also a Director of TD Waterhouse Holdings Pte Ltd, Vanda Systems & Communications Holdings Limited and an Advisory Board Member of FT Ventures.

Ingram was Chief Information Officer at Excel Communications, USA, before his appointment at DBS Bank.

Ingram was responsible for the overall IT strategy development and business strategy alignment at Excel, managing the design, development and implementation of its enterprise business systems. He was also responsible for the operation and management of the IT infrastructure, covering local and wide area networks, desktop and server management, telecommunications, and customer services and training. In addition, he was in charge of IT performance management for the Excel group.

Ingram was with Ernst & Young, Australia and the USA, where he spent 15 years in various senior positions. From 1983-91, Ingram was first Senior Manager, then Partner and Director of IT consulting in Ernst & Young, Australia. There, he delivered IT strategy formulation and life cycle consulting services to private and public sector organisation including Mobil, BP and Interflora, as well as the Australian Department of Defence. Between 1991-98, he was Partner in the firm's National IT practice in the US, and also served as Chief Technologist for Middle Market Consulting, where he directed its technology consulting services focusing on high-growth companies. During this time, Ingram was also Director of Centre for Business Transformation for Ernst & Young, worldwide, charged with supporting the firm's worldwide service delivery capability by providing knowledge and expertise of common technologies and best practices. He was also involved in the planning, design, development and deployment of methods, tools and technology enablers for E&Y consultants worldwide, covering strategic service development, service delivery, knowledge management and competency management.

In 1996, he was appointed to head Ernst & Young's Centre of Technology Enablement in Fairfax Virginia, where he managed several portfolios including IT Transformation Services, IT Strategy & Architecture Development, Distributed Computing, Infrastructure Engineering and Deployment, and Technology R&D.

David Lau
Managing Director and Head

DBS Bank

Lau is Managing Director and Head of Global Treasury at DBS Bank. He also serves on the DBS Group Holdings Management Committee.

Lau was Managing Director and Regional Head of Global Financial Markets at NatWest Bank, responsible for NatWest's business in South East Asia before joining DBS Bank in Dec 1999.

Lau has worked in treasury business for over 20 years. He was the Regional Treasury Manager for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Singapore, running the bank's Asian business from 1989-95. In that role, he presided over the integration of CIBC's corporate and investment banking business and streamlined their Asian treasury business. Between 1987-89, Lau was Chief Dealer at Industrial Bank of Japan, and before that, a trader with Banker's Trust Company from 1983-86.

A Singaporean, Lau holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Pennsylvania, and graduated with a Merit Degree from University of Houston in Business Administration as well.

Kankipati Rajan Raju
Managing Director & Head, South and South East Asia
DBS Bank

Raju is the Managing Director overseeing DBS' strategic expansion in South and South East Asia (Indonesia, India, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines).

Raju joined DBS as Managing Director & Chief Administration Officer in the Treasury & Markets Business in September 1999 from Citibank. He became the Head of Processing and Servicing in September 2000 and also led a Value Engineering team that addresses process improvement across the bank. He moved to his current position in August 2003. He is a member of both the Management Committee and Policy Committee for DBS.

He is on the Board of Directors for CLS Group Holdings, Bank of the Philippines Islands, Bank of the Philippines Islands Capital Corporation, The Singapore Clearing House Association, Network for Electronic Transfers (S) Pte Ltd, Integrated Payment Venture Pte Ltd, Clearing & Payment Services Pte Ltd, DBS China Square Ltd and SP Services Ltd.

Raju graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Bombay University and did his post graduation in Business Administration from The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Jeanette Wong
Chief Financial Officer
DBS Bank

Wong joined DBS Bank in February 2003 as Chief Administrative Officer. Wong had oversight responsibilities for the Group's Credit, Human Resources, and Risk Management functions. She was also responsible for the Information Technology and Operations portfolio, and serves on the DBS Group Holdings Management Committee.

Wong was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer on October 1, 2003. She will be responsible for financial and management reporting of the affairs and activities of the entire DBS group and risk-based capital management. She will also lead the group's financial initiatives, including capital fund raising, alliances and acquisitions.

Prior to joining DBS Bank, Wong was the Senior Country Officer for J.P. Morgan's Singapore operations responsible for key corporate and investor clients as well as regulatory relationships in Singapore. In her 16-year career at J.P. Morgan, she had been a member of global, regional and local management committees for Global Markets and Emerging Asia, and had held senior management positions with local and regional responsibilities in Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 1986, Wong's career began in 1982 at Banque Paribas in Corporate Banking. She then worked for Citibank Singapore between 1984 to 1986 in Private Banking.

Wong is a member of the MAS-sponsored Singapore Foreign Exchange Market Committee, and a member of the Ministry of Finance Tax Advisory Committee.

A Singaporean, Wong graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and holds a Master of Business Administration degree with Honors from the University of Chicago.

S Dhanabalan
Chairman

In May 1998, Dhanabalan became Chairman of DBS Bank. This was a homecoming assignment for him as he served the Bank as Vice President from 1968-1970 and Executive Vice President between 1970-1978. Prior to this appointment, he was Chairman of Singapore's national carrier, Singapore Airlines (1996-1998).

Between 1978-1996, Dhanabalan was Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament with the Singapore Government, holding a number of positions. He was Minister for Foreign Affairs (1980-88), Minister for Culture (1981-84), Minister for Community Development (1984-86), Minister for National Development (1987-92) and Minister for Trade and Industry (1992-93). This was preceded by his appointment as Executive Vice President with Development Bank of Singapore. Between 1961-68, he was with the Economic Development Board. His first career appointment was as an Administrative Officer in the Ministry of Finance, a position he held between 1960-61. Dhanabalan was also a Senior Advisor to Nuri Holdings, an appointment he held from 1994-1999 and President of Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) from 1996-2002.

Dhanabalan is also the Chairman of DBS Bank Executive Committee and DBS Group Holdings Ltd, as well as the Chairman for Parameswara Holdings Ltd and Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd. He is also a director of several companies including Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Private Ltd.

His other appointments include being Member of the Presidential Council of Minority Rights and Founder Member of the Singapore International Foundation.

Dhanabalan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, graduating with Second Upper Class Honours from the University of Malaya. A Singaporean of Indian descent, Dhanabalan is married with two children.
