DAIRY FARM ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT WELLCOME
Hong Kong, 28 June 1999 - Andrew Shepherd has been appointed interim Chief Executive Officer of Wellcome for Hong Kong and South China, it was announced today by Robert Neslund, Regional Director-North Asia of Dairy Farm.
Mr. Shepherd succeeds Colin Buchanan who is returning to the United Kingdom.
In another appointment, Andrew Vagg has been named Executive Director of Wellcome with responsibility for category management, marketing and operations.
Mr. Shepherd is currently Chief Executive of OneResource Group, Dairy Farm's joint venture with Ernst & Young, and he will continue in this position. Mr. Vagg previously held the position of Group Procurement Director for the Dairy Farm Group.
"We are fortunate to have two highly talented executives to lead Wellcome," said Mr. Neslund. "We wish Colin and his family well as they leave Hong Kong. His hard work and contributions to the Group are very much appreciated."
