[Hong Kong, January 16, 2002] Vodatel Networks Holdings Limited (8033), a leading network solutions provider in the PRC, announced that it has been granted a HK$5.03 million (US$646,000) contract of Digital Data Network (DDN) expansion project for Anhui China Telecom.

Anhui covers 15 cities and regions with a population of approximately 58.97 million. Telecommunications networks have been improved rapidly in recent year especially in Hefei and Wuhu. This network expansion project aims to provide comprehensive network infrastructure and e-business solutions with hosting capabilities to help global businesses fully exploit the internet. Vodatel will offer more fixed and dedicated bandwidth to the network subscribers. The expanded network will deliver reliable, high-speed and cost saving access to private corporate networks and the internet. Enterprises and communications service providers will be enabled to boost productivity and increase profitability by the optimal use of the internet.
