Founded in 1976 by Mr. Simon Ling, the Group is principally engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of a wide range of consumer electronic products such as Mini-Disc, Portable CD, DVD player, DVD combo (DVD player with VCR compatibility), DVD recorder and home theatre system, VCR, Video telephone, Internet set top box, CRT TV, LCD TV, Global Positioning System (GPS), Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) and home appliance products such as Coffee maker, Air purifier, Toaster oven, Steam station and Kettle.

The Group had approximately 150 staff stationed in Hong Kong and overseas offices and 8,000 workers working in its three PRC factories. The Group's major manufacturing facilities are located in the industrial town of Tang Xia, Dongguan, PRC. The factory complex is comprised of 9 factory buildings, 6 dormitory buildings and an amenity building. The total production area of the entire factory exceeds 1,500,000 square feet. In 1998, the Group acquired another factory in Qi Shi, Dongguan, PRC, which has over 350,000 square feet of total production area. Currently, the factory produces metal parts, plastic parts, PCB, adaptors and home appliance products. To support the launch of new products and forecasted surge in demand for digital products, the Group acquired land in Shi Pai, Dongguan for constructing new factory buildings. Construction of the new production facilities has been completed in 2005. The Group has set up a marketing office in Shenzhen to promote the sales of DVB products and cable set top boxes. Also we have research and development departments in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Dongguan to support product development and technology enhancement. In view of the rising demand for innovative digital products and home appliance products, we are committed to furthering our research and development capabilities for better quality products. In addition, we will seek overseas partnerships and make every effort to develop closer relationships with our customers.

In the sales aspects, products of the Group were sold directly to overseas importers and manufacturers on an ODM and OEM basis. This includes well-known brandnames such as Emerson, Craig, Lenoxx Sound, Medion, Pioneer, DK Digital, Memorex, Thomson, Schneider, Sanyo, RCA, Welkin, Hamilton Beach, Morphy Richards, Russell Hobbs and Zojirushi etc. Currently, the Group markets products comprising over 100 models to customers located primarily in the North and South Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific region.
