The Group was founded in 2002 under the name Titan (Holdings) Ltd. Its majority shareholder is Titan Oil Pte Ltd, a company established in Singapore. In 2004, the Group changed its name to "Titan Petrochemicals Group Ltd." to reflect its strategic development focus.
Titan has grown rapidly within a short time, establishing itself as a leading player in the downstream oil logistics supply chain in Asia. The Group has built a solid oil supply business supported by an extensive global network of supply sources. Its transportation business operates one of the largest tanker fleets in Asia, comprising Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) and product tankers with a total capacity of more than 2 million deadweight tons. The Group's distribution business enjoys a leading position in the Singapore bunker market and is rapidly growing into the Hong Kong market.
On the storage side, Titan has also steadily expanded its capacity in its offshore operations and is now developing three major onshore terminals in China. In 2007, Titan expanded and diversified its operations further to acquire a developing shipyard in China.
Titan now operates some 70 companies in the Asia Pacific region. The Group currently employs approximately over 1200 staff and maintains offices located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China. The large majority of these are working in the shipyard and onboard our fleet, currently over 20 tankers and floating storage units, deployed on routes all over Asia.
Our operations have ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certifications. Titan is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HK1192) and is a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Composite Index Series (top 200 shares by capitalisation) and a member of the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Hong Kong Small Cap index.
