The Company was founded by the late Mr. Ma Kam Chan on September 20, 1968 in the name of "Tai Mau Company Limited".

The Company adopted its present name on listing of its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on February 21, 1973, under code/short name 89/TAI SANG LAND.

During the early decades of its operation, the Group was a leading market provider of warehousing spaces, cold storage and general godown services in Hong Kong. For viability to meet changing conditions, the Group diversified its investment portfolios to include shops, commercial and residential properties in Hong Kong as well as the United States of America.

After its listing in 1973, the Group has expanded its total asset less current liabilities of HK$162 million in December 31, 1973 to HK$3,556.8 million as at December 31, 2007.
