(5th May 2005, Hong Kong) Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is pleased to announce that it has been appointed by Shanghai Airlines Co. Ltd. (Shanghai Airlines) to be its service provider for cargo terminal operations at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline will launch its freighter service between Shanghai and Hong Kong in June 2005.
Mr. Warren Bishop, Hactl's Marketing Director said, "Hactl is very pleased to welcome Shanghai Airlines as our new customer. We are confident that Shanghai Airlines will enjoy the highest quality of cargo services that only the world's largest air cargo terminal can offer, including unparalleled handling efficiency, cargo security, as well as information services."
Mr. Liu He Le, General Manager, Cargo Department of Shanghai Airlines said, "We are happy to have chosen Hactl as our cargo terminal operator in Hong Kong. Hactl's world-class facility as well as proven record of efficiency and reliability will provide us with professional cargo handling services at Hong Kong International Airport. We look forward to a fruitful partnership with Hactl."
Shanghai Airlines is the latest to add to the string of new airline customers Hactl has acquired in this year. The other new customers joining the Hactl customer portfolio this year include Xiamen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines Co., Ltd, Bangkok Airways Co., Ltd, and Thai Sky Airlines Co., Ltd. Hactl provides cargo terminal services to 60 international airlines at SuperTerminal 1 at Hong Kong International Airport.
