(Hong Kong, 19 December 2002) Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is pleased to announce that it has won the "2002 Hong Kong Awards for Services : Export Marketing" - the grand award in the "Export Marketing" category under the "Hong Kong Awards for Services". Hactl is also one of the winners of the "2002 HKPC Productivity Award for Services" - a subsidiary award in the "Productivity" category under the same Awards scheme. The award presentation gala dinner was held last night at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The prestigious "Hong Kong Awards for Services" is organised with five categories, namely "Innovation", "Productivity", "Customer Service", "Tourism Services" and "Export Marketing", which are administered respectively by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the Hong Kong Retail Management Association, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The Awards scheme aims at recognising companies for their contributions in enhancing the competitiveness of Hong Kong's service sector.

Hactl's Director - Marketing & Customer Service Mr. Summit Chan said, "It is a great honour to have won the grand award in 'Exporting Marketing' and the award in the 'Productivity' category. The awards recognise our efforts in enhancing Hong Kong's position as the premier air cargo hub, exemplified through SuperTerminal 1's industrial automation backbone, pioneering I.T. developments, innovative intermodal services and continuous improvement in productivity. Winning the awards is an impetus for us to work even harder in maintaining a high level of service and efficiency for our customers and for the airfreight community as a whole." Mr. Summit Chan added, "We would like to thank all our customers and business partners for their continued support, and also to our staff, whose dedication has contributed to the high performance standard that brings us these awards."

Hactl won the "Hong Kong Award for Services : Innovation" in last year's "Hong Kong Awards for Services". It has recently won the "Air Cargo Terminal of the Year" award in the "Asia Logistics Awards 2002".
