(13 September 2002, Hong Kong) Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) officially unveiled its newly revamped corporate website www.hactl.com today. The new website is one of the Company's initiatives to provide enhanced customer service to its airline and freight forwarder customers, and to support the operations of the airfreight industry through strengthened on-line services.

Designed by integrated e-business solutions firm Ion Global, the revamped website www.hactl.com provides one-stop-shop information on Hactl's core cargo handling services, its value-added services portfolio, and its facilities at SuperTerminal 1. Available in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, the new website also features a host of useful industry tools and guides, including easy-to-follow steps to ship / collect cargoes at SuperTerminal 1, reference service charge calculators, efficient cargo tracking service as well as comprehensive airlines/ freight forwarders directories.

Since its launch in 1996, Hactl's corporate website has been the platform through which airline and freight forwarders gain on-line access to cargo operational functions of Hactl's Community System for Air Cargo (COSAC) via its free membership services. COSAC currently supports the daily import, export and transshipment operations of Hactl by providing more than 400 functions to over 800 companies and nearly 4,000 users, linking Hactl with its global business partners.

Summit Chan, Hactl's Director - Marketing & Customer Service said, "Hactl.com, which provides a window on COSAC, is becoming an essential portal site for the airfreight community, with the monthly number of page views having exceeded 1 million for the first time in July this year." Chan continued, "Enhanced member functions will be progressively launched through the new website.
