(30 July 2002, Hong Kong) Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is pleased to announce the launch of the revamped website for its subsidiary Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services Limited (Hacis). Unveiled today in a fresh new look, the enhanced website www.hacis.com is a one-stop information shop for Hacis' freight forwarders and airline customers to check out service details of its SuperLink China Direct service, Airport Direct service as well as a range of other logistics support solutions. A host of value-added tools, including useful industry links, glossary, list of airline/airport codes, reference volume-weight calculator and currency converter, etc. are also available in the new website, bringing added convenience to users.
The enhanced website will also provide a platform for Hacis' customers to carry out essential business operations via HEx - Hacis e-logistics system - when it is launched and integrated with the new website in the fourth quarter this year. The powerful and functionally-rich system facilitates operational processes down to house air waybill level by enabling registered clients to create and monitor their cargo inventory records, access to the latest status of their cargoes, and to raise service instructions to Hacis on-line, and hence enhancing the functionality of the website and maximising customers' operational efficiencies.
"We are very pleased to offer a completely revamped website for our customers," said Summit Chan, Hactl's Director - Marketing & Customer Service. "We are now also in the process of revamping the Hactl corporate website www.hactl.com which has an average daily hit rate of over 35,000, and will be officially launched in the fourth quarter. The revamping of both Hacis' and Hactl's websites is an integral part of our continuous effort in e-initiatives development, the ultimate aim of which is to better serve our customers." Summit Chan said.
