The register of substantial shareholders maintained
under Section 16(1) of the SDI shows that at 30th June 1996 the
Company had been notified of the following interests, being 10%
or more of the Company's issued capital. These interests are
in addition to those disclosed above in respect of the Directors.
At 30th June 1996, the John Swire & Sons
Limited Group owned directly or indirectly interests in shares
of Swire Pacific Limited representing approximately 27% of the
issued capital and 49% of the voting rights.
