Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP), The Arch was recently completed after several years of planning and construction. The state-of-the-art property has been designed to world-class standards of luxury. The design of The Arch and its clubhouse, which is located 500 feet above the ground, is sophisticated and unique. The development is another landmark on Victoria Harbour and represents a new benchmark for deluxe residences.
Executive Director Victor Lui and Deputy General Manager Anita Chan of the Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency, The Arch Project Director Sitt Nam-hoi, Deputy Project Director Julia Lau, Senior Project Manager Tim Mak and other departmental representatives were among the executives who attended today's press conference (June 21) to introduce the excellence of The Arch and the superb lifestyle it brings.
Mr Lui said: "SHKP strives to enhance the quality of its properties and services, and continually scales new heights of achievement in building dream homes for Hong Kong people. The remarkable The Leighton Hill marked the third generation of deluxe residential projects from SHKP. Now, the completion of The Arch marks a new era for superb residential projects."
A brand leader in residential property
SHKP maintained stringent controls throughout the entire development of the project, from the planning stage to every last detail of construction during the four-year project. During the initial planning stage, SHKP sent its staff to London, Tokyo and other cities to research the design and materials used for the best residential projects and hotels. SHKP also sent experts to the furniture expo in Milan, Italy to acquire European designer furniture and decor. In addition, SHKP invited a top marble expert, Masao Otani from Japan to come to Hong Kong for two months to give lectures about techniques for laying marble. These efforts were made to help make The Arch a world-class deluxe residential property. At the Sky Club, for example, construction and decorating costs were HK$300 million, 40% more than other clubhouses and 10% more than that of The Leighton Hill.
The Sky Club and Sky Garden are located on the 59th to 62nd floors and together cover 100,000 square feet. Major clubhouse facilities include the Sky Pool, Grand Ballroom, gymnasium, spa, Sky Garden, and a sky shuttle lift, will command a 360 degree view of
Victoria Harbour. These facilities make the development the ultimate symbol of style and prestige.
Collection of world-class designer brands
The developer has carefully thought through into every detail of The Arch from the materials used to the design. Three decorative placements have been used for the clubhouse, all of them a combination of fashionable and artistic metallic decorations designed by well-known artist Hirotoshi Sawada from Japan. The clubhouse lobby is adorned with an ornate sculpture and Viennese crystal. The opulent style of the Sky Club is exemplified by eight chandeliers from French designer brand Baccarat.
SHKP has also brought in many well-known brands to complement The Arch's magnificent style. These include Colombostile, the famed furniture brand used to furnish Dubai's Burj Al Arab Hotel; Cappellini, the manufacturer of Ferrari's leather seats; and Versace, the renowned international fashion brand. The ceiling of the sky pool is designed using different metallic materials such as steel and aluminium to give a sensation of flying. The Sky Club is the very first clubhouse in the city to have the swimming pool and other facilities soundproofed, in order to be considerate to the needs of residents.
Other features include the placing of copper sculptures created and designed by local designer Lau Yau Kuen and IZEN Art in different locations around the development, as well as the hanging of Preciosa black chandeliers in the lobbies of the four blocks, amplifying the impressive style of the luxury residence.
World-class show - an expression of style
SHKP made special arrangements for four world-class dancers to perform in the Sky Club during the media tour, bringing the audience a magical and musical experience through acrobatics, dance and music.
