Sun Hung Kai Properties' member affiliates the Hong Yip Service Company and Kai Shing Management Services recently won a number of Best Property Management Awards in recognition of their professionalism. Hong Yip was named Best Property Management Agent for the tenth consecutive year and Most Environmentally-Friendly Property Management Agent for the fourth year running.

Excellent management and premium service won Hong Yip and Kai Shing eight Best Property Management Awards in 2003. Hong Yip won for Best Property Management Agent (medium estate category), Best Property Management Agent (large estate category) and Most Environmentally-Friendly Property Management Agent (HOS). Hong Yip's Mei Chung Court and Yu Chui Court were named Well-Managed Estates and Mei Chung Court was also named an Environmentally-Friendly Estate. Kai Shing won a Most Environmentally-Friendly Estate Agent Award and its Tin Wah Estate won as an Environmentally-Friendly Estate.

The Best Property Management Awards are presented by the Hong Kong Housing Authority to acknowledge excellence in property management, and Hong Yip and Kai Shing have won in every year the awards have been held. Hong Yip was the first management company to win a Best Property Management Agent Award.

Together Hong Yip and Kai Shing manage over 180 million square feet of property and serve over 200,000 residents. The companies offer innovative services and have embraced information technology to enhance the quality of property management. They now, for example, offer one-stop renovation/engineering consulting, construction and real estate agency services for entire buildings, and have taken the lead in using smart card access controls and the Internet. Both companies are active in promoting green living, implementing environmentally-friendly practices in property management. They also started the Environmentally Friendly Joint Action campaign to mobilize residents and set up a 1,000-strong team to promote environmentally-friendly property management. Both initiatives have received considerable acclaim.
