Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) announced that Samuel Sham has been appointed Managing Director of the Wilson Group, a wholly-owned SHKP subsidiary. Wilson manages parking lots, tunnels, bridges, toll roads and other transport-related businesses.
Mr Sham joined the Wilson Group as General Manager in 1997, and he was also made a Director in 1998. He previously held positions with a number of US-based oil and energy companies, including Wickland Oil Corporation, where he was General Manager, Singapore and Managing Director, China, as well as Louis Dreyfus Energy, in the capacity of General Manager & Director of Marketing for China facilities. He also held important positions in Esso Petroleum Hong Kong & Singapore. In addition, Mr Sham is a Director of the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre and three waste management companies, and an Alternate Director of Kowloon Motor Bus.
Mr Sham was granted a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 1974. He is a past Council Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a Chartered Engineer under the UK Engineering Council.
