SHKP names low-density Castle Peak Road project Avignon
Sun Hung Kai Properties announced that its new low-density residential development on Castle Peak Road will be called Avignon. The project is next to the Tai Lam Country Park surrounded by stunning seascape vistas, emerald mountains and a unique Monet-style garden. Avignon will be the first part of this designated low-density luxury residential town where living standards will match seaside luxury residential districts like Repulse Bay and Clear Water Bay.
Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Senior Sales and Marketing Manager Tam Sik Cham said: "The government has said that So Kwun Wat area along Castle Peak Road should be developed into an opulent, low-density residence and garden-style town. It is surrounded by mountains and sea and has huge developmental potential. Avignon takes its name from the famous city in Provençe in southern France. It covers a vast swath of territory and has the largest proportion of green gardens in the country. It is also near the renowned Mediterranean Côte d'Azur and is home to many historical buildings protected as United Nations World Heritage sites. We will build a huge and distinctive private garden similar to the garden by the house where the father of impressionist art Claude Monet lived. Hong Kong's very own Avignon with its green ratio of 80 percent will be a source fascination in the bustling modern metropolis."
Vast Garden and Superb Views
The Monet Garden will be a private garden especially for Avignon residents. It follows the manor in Giverny where impressionist artist Claude Monet began creating his many masterpieces starting in 1883. With the help of expert Japanese gardener the original Monet Garden had a myriad floating water lilies and lotus plants in a Japanese style. Avignon's Monet Garden will follow this concept with a large variety of beautiful flowers and trees, as well as a large fountain and Japanese bridge. The area will have an extremely high green ratio harking back to the famous French landscapes of the 19th century and providing residents with unparalleled scenic views found in Monet's masterpieces.
Community by the Sea with Various Residence Types
Avignon will be in So Kwun Wat on Castle Peak Road; far from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong's urban centre. The area has stunning seascapes and emerald mountains, and will feature a stunning garden as the centrepiece of the development. Residents will enjoy living in a Xanadu-style French town. Avignon's extremely low density residential environment will have just ten ten-storey blocks and thirty villas. There will be a wide range of units, including one- to four-bedroom residences and other types of special units to meet the needs and wishes of different customers. The developer's high-quality construction, living standards and glorious views will be comparable to coastal luxury residential districts like Repulse Bay and Clear Water Bay.
