120-hour music marathon at Ma Wan Noah's Ark
Lights by Tsing Ma Bridge to create Christmas scene
The world's only full-sized Noah's Ark at Ma Wan Park will celebrate its first Christmas with a 120-hour Music and Light performance. Starting today, over 1,500 people from different organizations and groups will sing in succession for 120 hours and the Park is decorated with festive lighting to bring joy to Hong Kong. Christmas is a time to give and share, and Noah's Ark welcomes people to join and experience its theme of love of life and family.
Musical Christmas
The 120-hour Music and Light performance by singers from over 50 organizations and corporations will run for 22 days from today until January 3, 2010. The singers will include kindergarten, primary and secondary students and other organizations. Famous canto-pop artists like Sherman Chung, Zac Koo, Wada Hiromi, Peco Chui, Edwin Tanner and Teens Music will also perform to add to the gala mood.
Life tree and decorative lighting
Noah's Ark will also have special decorations during Christmas. The hull and floor will have LED lights at night and the Life Tree will be brilliantly lit, while the Tsing Ma Bridge in the background will accentuate the ambience. Images of flying angels projected on the hull will match with the shining the Life Tree nearby, creating a striking visual that effectively conveys love.
