SHKP supports the Policy Address

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) welcomes the Policy Address delivered by Chief Executive Donald Tsang today, believing that it will help Hong Kong evolve into a knowledge-based economy, create jobs and attract talents.

SHKP Vice Chairman and Managing Director Thomas Kwok said that the current economy and the real estate market are supported by positive fundamentals and that the land application system is effective in stabilizing the property market. He also welcomes the plan to fine-tune the land supply arrangements, when necessary, to cope with the city's future development needs.

SHKP Vice Chairman and Managing Director Raymond Kwok supports the series of proposals to sustain the development of the four pillar industries, promote the other six industries and seize the opportunities arising from co-operation with Guangdong. He believes that these will help maintain Hong Kong's leading edge, promote economic development and create jobs.

SHKP also welcomes the initiatives on environmental protection, conservation and urban revitalization spelt out in the Policy Address, which will help Hong Kong strike a balance between economic development and cultural conservation and provide a quality, modern and sustainable living environment for the people.
