We are one of the world's leading providers of dry bulk shipping services and logistical solutions to blue chip international commodity groups. We operate a large, modern and uniform fleet of versatile Handysize and Handymax dry bulk carrier vessels with sizes ranging from 25,000 to 60,000 deadweight tonnes. Our primary business is operating within the Asia Pacific region, but with a network of offices around the world, we can provide a fully integrated service to all of our customers in every major time zone.

Our strategic subsidiaries and joint ventures such as APMIG, FMS and PacMarine provide Pacific Basin with new opportunities that support the company's core business, and add significant value to our operations.

Our Business

• We operate an efficient and very young fleet of vessels averaging around six years in age.
  
  
• Our expanding fleet currently comprises owned, chartered and managed ships giving us a fleet size which offers scale and a high degree of operational flexibility
  
  
• We operate most of these vessels through Pacific Basin IHC Limited, BVI ("Pacific Basin - IHC") pool which we established in 2001 and through which we have established a reputation as the leading supplier of handysize freight services directly to major commodity companies
  
  
• Our Handysize vessels are shallow drafted and equipped with onboard cranes, allowing them to serve many ports that other ship types cannot service due to size and cargo-handling restrictions
  
  
• Our Handymax team specialises in offering freight contracts to customers from spot to five or more years, and are dedicated to providing a service with first class performance and reliability. Extensive use is made of long and short term chartered tonnage to ensure the ideal vessel is provided for the required freight contract
  
  
• Our senior executives and other employees have extensive experience in shipping. With their primary focus being on dry bulk transport in the Asia Pacific Region they have a comprehensive knowledge of the market and expertise in areas such as chartering, vessel operations, technical management and crewing, vessel sale and purchase, shipbuilding and repair, finance, and insurance. As a result, Pacific Basin can offer a wide range of services to its customers
  
  
• We operate from headquarters in Hong Kong and offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Mumbai, Karachi, Dubai, Fujairah, London, Bad Essen, Houston, Vancouver, Auckland, Melbourne and Santiago, giving us the ability to service all of our major customers in their own markets and in their own time zones
