Joyce Boutique Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries (JOYCE) are principally engaged in the franchise of internationally renowned fashion, accessories and cosmetics designer brands in Greater China - Hong Kong, China and Taiwan - through either multi-label stores under the name Joyce or mono brand freestanding stores.
Founded by Mrs. Joyce Ma in 1970 and now, JOYCE employs over 500 staff worldwide and is among the world's most respected and influential specialty retailers.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, with buying offices in Milan and Paris, JOYCE operates 66 points of sales in Greater China, comprising of 4 multi-label Joyce stores, 47 freestanding mono-brand designer's boutiques, 10 Marni shops and 5 Beauty shops, carrying over 200 leading fashion, accessories and cosmetics brands, many of them exclusively in Hong Kong and China.
JOYCE shares were listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 1990. In August 2000, the company became a subsidiary of Wheelock & Company Limited. In March 2003, Wheelock's shares were transferred to Mr. Peter Woo's family trust and JOYCE has become a member of the Lane Crawford Joyce Group.
Mrs. Ma, founder of JOYCE, is the recipient of numerous international honors and awards including the Cavaliere del Lavoro (Italy 1976), the Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Couronne (Belgium 1994), the Ufficiale dell'Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (Italy 1995), the Chevalier dans l'Ordre National de la Legion d'Honneur (France 2005) appointed by Mr. Jacques Chirac, former President of the French Republic and also being the Officer in the Leopold II Order that was bestowed by His Majesty Albert II, the King of the Belgians (Belgium 2006), all in recognition of her contribution to the fashion retail industry. Mrs. Ma was named one of the world's best-dressed women in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998, and was invited into the Italian Fashion Hall of Fame in 1995.
