(London July 15 2003) In a major new agreement with the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, 3, the UK's first video mobile service, is offering its customers the chance to watch interviews and video highlights of the golfing action from this year's Open Championship on their 3 video mobile.
Two days prior to the first round of The Open on 17 July, 3 customers will be able to watch classic 'Golden Moments' from The Open from over the years as well as watch previews of the 2003 Championship. Daily highlights in the form of two-minute video clips will be available to 3 customers throughout the Championship, including a daily end of day round-up of all the action.
3 ensures that customers will also be able to get inside the minds of the players with access to interviews with this year's competitors, plus an opportunity to reflect on those winning moments with an interview with the 2002 champion, Ernie Els. On mobile, this exciting content is available exclusively to 3 customers.
3 video mobiles are opening people's eyes to the very latest in mobile technology. As well as doing all the usual stuff such as text messaging, voice calls and picture messaging, they do so much more. With live video calling you can talk face-to-face with your friends, while video messaging is perfect for the extrovert.
With 3 you can also download video content such as celebrity interviews, movie clips, comedy shorts and exclusive Barclaycard Premiership action, and once it's saved on your handset, you can watch it to your heart's content.
