Hong Kong, March 13, 2002 - TOM.COM LIMITED ("TOM", stock code: 8001) announced today the appointments of Quincy Tang as Finance Director of TOM's print media business, and Alex Chu as Financial Controller, China. They will play an important role in financial and operational integration of TOM's businesses.
Prior to joining TOM, Mr. Tang worked for ten years at Hong Kong-listed Leefung-Asco Printers Holdings Ltd, holding positions such as Group Financial Controller and Executive Director. He was responsible for investments and fund raising activities for Leefung-Asco. Mr. Tang also worked for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu for about six years.
Mr. Chu has held senior financial positions in leading international companies. He was Finance Director in COCA-COLA's largest bottling plants in Tianjin and Shanghai for more than four years. He worked for seven years in Australia, holding senior financial roles. Before leaving for Australia, he worked for almost four years at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
Mr. Sing Wang, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director said, "It is my pleasure to welcome Mr. Tang and Mr. Chu on board. With their experience and expertise, they will help to strengthen the financial management of the group."
Mr. Tang is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom and Certified Public Accountants of HKSA while Mr. Chu is CPA of Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
