Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel May 23, 2001 - Partner Communications Company Ltd. (NASDAQ: PTNR), today announced the appointment of Mr. Ting Yu Chan to the Company's board of directors, replacing Mr. Keith Bradley, effective May 17, 2001.
Mr. Chan previously served as a director of Partner prior to its IPO. He is the Deputy Group Managing Director of Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd., and a director of Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Ltd. Mr. Chan holds degrees in Law and Arts from New Zealand.
Mr. Canning Fok, Partner's Chairman of the Board, congratulated Mr. Chan on this appointment, and thanked Mr. Bradley, now Commercial Director of Hutchison 3G UK, for his devoted service on the board of directors of Partner.
Amikam Cohen, CEO of Partner, welcomed Mr. Chan to the Board and commented that his broad management experiences, and his profound knowledge of the Company, are a great asset to Partner.
Partner Communications Company Ltd. is the only Global System for Mobile Communications, or GSM, mobile telephone network operator in Israel.
