Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel - January 16, 2001 - Partner Communications Company Ltd. (NASDAQ: PTNR), today commented on recent press speculations regarding the possibility of listing Partner stock on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The Company clarified that the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange approached Partner and asked the Company to examine the possibility of listing Partner stock in Tel Aviv. At this time no decision has been made to list Partner stock in Tel Aviv.
Partner Communications Company Ltd. is the only Global System for Mobile Communications, or GSM, mobile telephone network operator in Israel. The Company commenced full commercial operations in January 1999 under the international Orange Brand name and, through its network, provides quality of service and a range of features to over 834,000 subscribers in Israel.
