Hanoi and Hong Kong, 1 December 2016 - Hutchison Global Communications Limited (HGC), the fixedline operating division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (stock code: 215), and CMC Telecommunication Infrastructure Corporation (CMC Telecom), today announced launch of HGC's ibizCloud service in Hanoi, Vietnam. The move will deliver a one-stop global cloud computing service that includes infrastructure and bandwidth to meet the needs of multinational and local corporations. Availability of ibizCloud will simplify management of the transmission and storage of huge volumes of data.
HGC is responsible for cloud design along with instant and international network connectivity to establish ibizCloud in Vietnam, while CMC Telecom provides local connectivity and branding for ibizCloud. The service has been customised to suit the Vietnamese market and satisfy rising demands for data exchange from local corporations.
Launch of ibizCloud in Vietnam represents a win-win-win scenario for HGC, CMC Telecom and the Vietnamese business community. This is because HGC has strengthened its international cloud proposition by increasing the number of ibizCloud sites, while CMC is now able to offer a reliable global cloud service without having to go through a lengthy product development process. ibizCloud enables enterprises to keep pace with the worldwide trend in big data by facilitating access to a cloud computing environment via Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Bandwidth-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Dedicated Bandwidth-as-a-Service (DBaaS).
