Founder Holdings Limited (Hong Kong Stock Exchange code: 418) is a transnational group based on the Asia-Pacific region (hereinafter referred to as 'the Group'), whose main business includes the following three areas: software development and system integration, distribution of information products and provision of software solutions and related services. Its holding shareholder, Beijing Founder Group of Peking University (hereinafter referred to as 'Founder of Peking University'), is a high-tech enterprise set up by the Peking University. It mainly deals with the industrialization of certain high-tech products developed by the Peking University including Founder e-publishing system. The Group was founded in 1992 and listed in Hong Kong in 1995.
In the field of software development and system integration, the Group has two main customer groups: media and non-media. Products of the Group enjoy prestige among customers from both home and abroad. In media operation, products can be classified, based on types of solutions, into four main categories: digital publishing, commercial printing, digital media and network publishing. Similarly, in non-media operation, products can be classified, based on types of solution, into six major categories: banking, insurance, securities, postal service, government and military/armed police/public security.
In the field of distribution of information products, the Group has numerous agents and distributors across China and a large-scale network to distribute globally-renowned brands and own-brand brand products (e.g. Founder scanner serial). The Group has also established 'Founder Internet Commerce' as its own B2B sales platform.
In the provision of software solutions and related services, the Group focuses on the following sectors: information security, geographic information system, electronic finance and informationalization of corporation/government.
Currently the major operators of the Group include Peking University Founder Electronics Co., Limited of Beijing, Beijing Founder Order Computer System Co., Limited, Beijing Founder Century Information System Co., Limited and Beijing EC-Founder (Holdings) Co., Limited, which are all based in China, and Founder Information Shareholding Limited in Taiwan, PC Founder (MSC) Berhad in Malaysia and Founder Technology (Canada) Corporation in Canada.
