First Pacific Company Limited
today announced that its 1995 Annual Report has won two Gold Awards
in the 'Conglomerates' category and for 'Financial Data'
at the 10th Annual International ARC Awards in New York,
described as the 'Academy Awards of Annual Reports'. It
was also judged to be the 'Best Financial Data' entry,
winning the Grand Award from among the Gold-award winning entries.
The Awards were presented at a banquet at the Plaza Hotel in New
York on 18th July.
Mr. Derek Murphy, Group Vice President of First Pacific Company, in accepting the Awards in New York said:
"First Pacific Company has come
a long way in 15 years since its inception in May 1981. From five
people and US$1.5 million in initial capital, the company now
employs more than 45,000 people in 40 countries around the world
and has a market capitalisation in excess of US$3.5 billion.
Having an exciting Asian growth story to tell and telling it as clearly and transparently as possible in successive Annual Reports has no doubt contributed to the Company's international market following. We thank the organisers of these Awards for giving us the opportunity to compete with the very best in the world.
