18 June 2012 - Mr. David Chiu, the Chairman of Far East Consortium International Limited (FEC) and Kosmopolito Hotels International (KHI), donated HK$1.8 million to Ju Ching Chu Secondary School. Through the sponsorship, Mr. Chiu hopes to have contributed significantly towards providing quality education to the students so that they can acquire new skills and broaden their knowledge.

The Council of Ju Ching Chu Secondary School established three schools in Hong Kong since 1966. On 31 May 2012, Mr. Chiu, together with Ms. Winnie Chiu, President and Executive Director of KHI, attended the 44th Joint School Graduation Ceremony of Ju Ching Chu Secondary School to handover the sponsorship to the school and present graduation certificates to the students.

During the ceremony, Mr. David Chiu performed a speech and shared his maxim, philosophy and experience over the years with the students. Through the sharing, he encouraged the students to overcome any obstacles they are likely to encounter in the course of pursuing their career in the future. The ceremony ended with a series of performances by the students, including dance presentation and Chinese orchestra.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Ms. Winnie Chiu said: "The fund provides quality education, in terms of software and hardware facilities, to the students so that they can best equip themselves to contribute to the community after their graduation. In addition, KHI recently exhibited at the Career Expo 2012 organised by Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), with the objective of creating awareness among the younger workforce and today's students toward career opportunities that are available within the hospitality industry and; at the same time to gain better insights into the mind-set and expectations of the younger generation as they prepare to embark on their career path".
