

The Board of Supervisors is the supervisory body of our bank and reports to the Shareholders' General Meeting. Its responsibilities are to supervise the bank's financial status and the performance of responsibilities by directors, supervisors and senior executives. Currently, the Board of Supervisors is composed of 10 supervisors, including 1 Chairman, 4 supervisors, 2 external supervisors and 3 staff supervisors.

Hua Qingshan, Chairman of Board of Supervisors
Mr. Hua Qingshan, aged 54, served successively at the National General Labour Union, the Department of Labour and the General Office of the State Council from 1979 to 1994. He joined Bank of China in 1994 and served as the Assistant to the President of Bank of China from May 1994 to December 1998, and served as the Deputy President of Bank of China from December 1998 to June 2007. He also served as an executive director of Bank of China from August 2004 to June 2007 and a non-executive director of BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited from June 2002 to June 2007. Mr. Hua graduated with a master's degree in Engineering from the University of Hunan in 1996.
Guan Zhenyi, Supervisor
Mr. Guan Zhenyi, aged 41, is now the chief and an economist of the investment management division of Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corp., chairman of the board of the Tobacco, Sugar and Wine Co., Ltd. in Qingpu and Changning, a director of Haiyan Logistics Development Co., Ltd. and Railway Tobacco Co., Ltd., a director of China Tobacco (Shanghai) Import and Export Co., Ltd. and a director of Tobacco, Sugar and Wine Co., Ltd. in Baoshan, Songming, Fengxian, Hongkou, Huangpu, Jiading, Jinshan, Jing'an, Luwang, Minhang, Nanhui, Pudong, Putuo, Songjiang, Xuhui, Yangpu and Zhabei. He worked as the manager of the accounting and financial department of the import and export company under Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corp. from February 2000 to September 2000. He worked for the Three Assets Management Department of Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corp. from September 2000 to January 2003 successively as an assistant to director and concurrently the manager of the Haiyan Commercial Building, and then a deputy director and concurrently the manager of the Haiyan Commercial Building. From January 2003 to July 2006, Mr. Guan worked successively as the deputy chief of the financial and pricing division of, and the deputy chief of the investment management division of Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corp.. Since July 2006 Mr. Guan has been the chief of the investment management division of Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corp.. Mr. Guan obtained a university degree in economic management in 2002 from Shanghai Branch of PLA Nanjing Institute of Politics.
Yang Fajia, Supervisor
Mr. Yang Fajia, aged 52, is now the general manager of Hongta Group Ltd., chairman of the board of Yunnan Hong Ta Blue Eagle Paper Co., Ltd., chairman of the board of Shanghai Hongta Hotel, a director of Yunan Baiyao Group Co., Ltd. and a director of Kunming Horti-Expo Garden Co., Ltd.. He served as the deputy general manager of Hongta Group Ltd. from September 1993 to January 2003. Mr. Yang obtained a university degree in electromechanical science from China University of Mining & Technology in 1980.
Wang Lisheng, Supervisor
Ms. Wang Lisheng, aged 61, is now the deputy financial director of China Petrochemical Corporation, the chairman of the board of supervisors of Sinopec Financial Co., Ltd. and chairman of the board of Guande International Holdings Co., Ltd.. She served as an executive director and the chief accountant of Zhenhai Petroleum Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. from July 1994 to February 2001. Ms. Wang has served as the deputy financial director of China Petrochemical Corporation since September 2000, and she had worked concurrently as the deputy director of the corporate restructuring office of Sinopec Group from December 2000 to September 2001, as the deputy director of the corporate reform department of Sinopec Group from September 2001 to March 2003 and as the deputy director of the legal affairs department of China Petrochemical Corporation from December 2002 to March 2003. Ms. Wang obtained a bachelor's degree in finance from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 1969.
Li Jin, Supervisor
Mr. Li Jin, aged 41, is now the deputy general manager of Huaneng Capital Service Co., Ltd.. Mr. Li worked as the deputy chief of the credit department of China Scientific and Technological Finance Co., Ltd. from January 1989 to April 1994; worked for China Huaneng Finance Co., Ltd. from April 1994 to January 2005 successively as the deputy director of the Shanghai sales department, deputy manager of the comprehensive planning department, manager, deputy general manager and general manager of the comprehensive planning department. Mr. Li was the president of Alltrust Insurance Company of China Limited from January 2005 to September 2006. Mr. Li has been the deputy general manager of Huaneng Capital Service Co., Ltd. since September 2006. Mr. Li obtained a master's degree from the Financial Research Institute of the Head Office of the People's Bank of China in 1989.
Yan Hong, Supervisor
Mr. Yan Hong, aged 41, currently serves as the Chief Accountant of Daqing Oilfield Company Limited and Daqing Petroleum Administrative Bureau. He is a senior accountant with professor title. Mr. Yan joined Drilling Company III of Daqing Petroleum Administrative Bureau as an intern, and later as the Accountant of the Assembly and Construction Team and the Deputy Head of the Finance Division from July 1989 to January 1999. He served Wells Repairing Branch Company of Daqing Oilfield Company Limited as the Deputy Chief Accountant from January 1999 to May 2000. During the period between May 2000 and March 2002, he served Daqing Oilfield Company Limited as the Deputy Head, and later the Head, of the Financial Assets Department. During the period between March 2002 and March 2008, he served as the Deputy Chief Accountant and Head of Financial Assets Department, and later the Chief Accountant, of Daqing Oilfield Company Limited. From March 2008 to date, Mr. Yan is the Chief Accountant of Daqing Oilfield Company Limited and Daqing Petroleum Administrative Bureau. Mr. Yan obtained a master's degree in business administration from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics in February 2003.
Zheng Li, External Supervisor
Ms. Zheng Li, aged 72, currently an independent supervisor of China Aviation Technology and Industry Company Limited, a PRC certified accountant and a certified internal auditor of the Institute of Internal Auditors. From January 1985 to July 1987 she served as a specially designated commissioner of the State Planning Commission. From July 1987 to November 1996 Ms. Zheng served as Deputy Auditor General at the National Audit Office. From November 1996 to October 1998, she served as a member of the Board of Supervisors of the State Development Bank. From November 1998 to March 2001, she served as Audit Commissioner of the State Council. From January 1998 to January 2003 she was a member on the CPPCC Ninth National Committee. From June 1997 to July 2005 she served as President of the Association of Internal Auditors of China. In 1959 Ms. Zheng received a university degree from the Moscow Institute of Finance of the former Soviet Union.
Jiang Zuqi, External supervisor
Mr. Jiang Zuqi, aged 66, served as the vice chairman of the board and vice president of Bank of China from August 1995 to June 2000 (and concurrently the director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Management Department of Bank of China from August 1997 to February 1999). He became the chairman of the board of supervisors seconded by the State Council to key stateowned financial institutions from June 2000 to August 2005 and served as the chairman of the supervisory board of Bank of Communications from June 2000 to August 2003 and the chairman of the supervisory board of Export-Import Bank of China from August 2003 to August 2005. Mr. Jiang obtained a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from the Commerce and Economics Faculty of the Beijing Institute of Business in 1966.
Liu Sha, Staff Supervisor
Ms. Liu Sha, aged 52, joined the Bank in November 2004 and is currently an employee designated Supervisor of the Bank and the General Manager of the Audit Department of the Bank's Northern China Region. From September 1999 to August 2000, Ms. Liu served as Deputy Director of the Local Tax Bureau of Jinan, Shandong Province. From August 2000 to July 2003, Ms. Liu served as a full-time Supervisor (ranking successively as a leading role of division or equivalent and assisting role of department or equivalent) of China Galaxy Securities Company Limited designated directly by the State Council. From August 2003 to October 2004, Ms. Liu was a full-time Supervisor (ranking as assisting role of department or equivalent) of Bank of Communications, designated directly by the State Council. Since November 2004, she has served as an employee designated Supervisor on the supervisory board of Bank of Communications. From March 2005 to August 2005, Ms. Liu served as Secretary to the supervisory board of Bank of Communications. Since September 2005, she served as General Manager of the Audit Department of the Northern China Region of Bank of Communications. Ms. Liu graduated from the Finance Faculty of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in 1979.
Chen Qing, Staff Supervisor
Ms. Chen Qing, aged 47, an employee designated Supervisor of the Bank since November 2004 and currently Director of the General Office of the supervisory board of the Bank. From August 1984 to April 2000, Ms. Chen worked in Finance Audit Department of the National Audit Office, serving successively as Deputy Chief Officer, Chief Officer and Deputy Division Chief. From May 2000 to July 2003, Ms. Chen served as Deputy Division Chief, Division Chief and a fulltime Supervisor (ranking as leading role of division or equivalent) of the supervisory board of Bank of China, designated by the State Council. From August 2003 to October 2004, Ms. Chen served as a full-time Supervisor (ranking as leading role of division or equivalent) of Agricultural Bank of China, designated by the State Council. In November 2004, Ms. Chen was appointed Supervisor (ranking as an assisting role of department or equivalent) of Bank of Communications and was elected as an employee designated Supervisor of Bank of Communications in the same month. Since March 2005, Ms. Chen served as Director of the General Office of the supervisory board of Bank of Communications. Ms. Chen received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Renmin University of China in 1984.
Li Jun, Staff Supervisor
Mr. Li Jun, aged 57, an employee designated Supervisor of the Bank since November 2005 and currently Deputy Director of Labour Union Work Committee of the Bank and General Manager of Employee Welfare Unit. Since September 1994 Mr. Li has worked in the Headquarters of Bank of Communications, serving successively as an officer at the Ideological and Political Work Office, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Party Committee, Director of the General Office of the Party Committee, Deputy Chief of Propaganda Department of the Party Committee, 12 full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the General Office of the Party Committee of the Headquarters of Bank of Communications concurrently, full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director of Labour Union Work Committee of the Bank and full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bank concurrently. In 1986 Mr. Li graduated from Marine Politics College in China with a diploma in Political Work. Mr. Li is holding 3,000 A shares of the Bank purchased through an online application during the offering of A shares of the Bank and such shares are subject to lock-up requirements.
