MACQUARIE FILM CORPORATION LTD ANNOUNCES
INVESTMENT IN THE FEATURE FILM "TAKE AWAY"

Charles Wheeler, Chairman of Macquarie Film Corporation Limited, one of only two companies licensed under the Film Licensed Investment Company Act 1998 (FLIC), today announced that the company is investing in the Marc Gracie produced and directed feature film TAKE AWAY.

TAKE AWAY is a classic David and Goliath tale where two rival owners of take away fish and chip shops join together to fight the new fast-food giant in town. Against all odds, and with plenty of plotting, scheming and hilarious antics along the way, they finally succeed in defending their turf and ridding the town of their evil competitor.

The film is produced by Marc Gracie ("The Craic") and executive produced by Bryce Menzies and John Tatoulis. Marc Gracie will also direct, from a screenplay by the writer/comedians Mark O'Toole and Dave O'Neil. Macquarie's co-investors are Cinemedia, Movie Network, Media World and the FFC. The film will be distributed in Australia by Village Roadshow and sold internationally by Beyond Films.

Comments Macquarie Film Corporation Chairman Charles Wheeler: "TAKE AWAY is another great Australian comedy in the vein of "The Castle", "Wog Boy" and the Marc Gracie produced - "The Craic". We believe as with all the projects we've backed, that this film will have sound commercial appeal, thereby maximising the returns to our investors."

Comments Jennie Hughes, Senior VP of Investment and Distribution: "Marc is part of the exceptional pool of Australian comedic talent, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with him on TAKE AWAY. We are also pleased to be continuing our strong relationship with both Village Roadshow and Cinemedia and working for the first time with the Movie Network and Media World."

Macquarie has now invested in a total of five feature films, the other four being "Dirty Deeds", "The Nugget", "Crackerjack" and "Horseplay".

TAKE AWAY is set to commence production in February next year, with casting to be announced shortly.
