Listed on the Stock Exchange Hong Kong in November 1988, the principal activity of the company is television broadcasting, together with programme production, sale of television broadcasting time, programme licensing and distribution, and animation production. The group also produces Mandarine language programmes for sale to overseas markets and Chinese cable-TV companies. In 1990, the company made an application for a satellite television link-up licence and established its own local operations in the US and the UK for direct distribution of home video products.
