Kantone currently sells its products in over 50 countries, covering emerging markets in Asia and South America. It has an established business in Europe, particularly the UK and Germany, where it is a leading supplier for the healthcare and fire services sectors.

Kantone was formed through the spin-off of the equipment manufacturing and distribution operations of Champion Technology Holdings Limited, and was separately listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on 23 January 1997.
