Anhui Expressway Company Limited ("the Company") and its subsidiaries company ("the Group") was re-organized in 1996 and was incorporated in the People's Republic of China ("the PRC") as a joint stock limited company. The Company issued H Shares in November 1996, and the H Shares were listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited ("Stock Exchange"). The Company is the first highway company that issued H Shares in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the PRC ("Hong Kong") and is the only listed highway company in Anhui province.

The Company is principally engaged in holding, operation and development of toll expressways and highways in Anhui province in the PRC. The Company may also be engaged in the holding, operation and development of toll highways outside Anhui province.
