The Company is principally engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of bulk pharmaceuticals, preparations (including injections and tablets) and chemical products. Bulk pharmaceutical products of the Company include antipyretic and analgesic medicines (principally analgin, aspirin, aminopyrine and ibuprofen), antiseptic medicines (principally pipemidic acid) and central nervous system medicine (principally caffeine). Preparations products mainly include ibuprofen tablets, pipemidic acid tablets and co-SMZ tablets. The main chemical product is acetic acid. Newly commissioned products include Anka (irisquinone capsule), Ai Fei Le and Ai Di Te.

The Company boasts strong research and development capabilities. Ai Di Te was successfully launched in 1997 as a National Class 1 new medicine. Being the first skin disease medicine originating in the PRC, Ai De Te received the "Class One Award for Innovative Medicine" at the 1997 National Conference for Innovative Medicines which marks another significant milestone in the Company's development.
